Cleaning PVC

An Identity Flooring LVT floor is easy to keep clean. You do not need any special cleaning products; in most cases, a damp mop is all you need.

Daily maintenance

Regularly remove dust and sand with a soft broom or vacuum cleaner. Sand particles can damage the top layer over time if they remain on the floor for too long.

Stains and dirt

Wipe up stains as quickly as possible with a damp cloth. For more stubborn dirt, use a mild water-based all-purpose cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents and wax- or oil-based cleaning products, as these can damage the top layer.

Underfloor heating

With underfloor heating, your cleaning routine remains the same. The floor is just as easy to maintain, regardless of the temperature.

What not to do

Never use a steam cleaner on an LVT floor. The heat and pressure can damage the flooring or affect its bond with the subfloor.
